Upon looking at minimum glyphs, I noticed immediately that it could be achieved trivially(though arduously) with the 3 length input and a full access bonder and debonder by attaching the entire solution to a stick. However, I didn't want to waste my time making a 6P stick solution with awful area, so instead I spent a far larger amount of time looking for a setup that could fully utilize both inputs. I managed to shave 5 area off of my initial solve and it can no doubt be improved further, but I've accomplished what I set out to do and that's enough for me. Having said that... I did attempt a few other setups that seemed to be better on the surface, such as having both both the bonder and de-bonder be half access, and building the output over the input. Unfortunately, they introduced new quirks which lost area overall. I'm curious to see if people find algorithms that make them work.
