As my second computation puzzle, I could avoid the long process of redesigns and optimizations that led to my solution for look-and-say. My first solution was 1000 sum, and this one has only slight optimizations beyond that.

I fail to see a more efficient way to handle cardinals than duplication and animismus. I could see a world where metal duplication is better achieved by timing the exhange of lead, rather than counting quicksilver.
