DARK_BRICK'S PUZZLE GAUNTLET
WHAT IS THIS?
This event is a collection of 4 puzzles. Each puzzle has one metric, maybe some restrictions, and a goal to achieve. After submitting a solution with score <= goal, you will be given the link to proceed to the next puzzle. Besides the individual puzzle metrics, there are 2 metrics encompassing the whole event.
METRICS
1. Completion Time (in minutes)
2. % of puzzle 1 goal + % of puzzle 2 goal + % of puzzle 3 goal + % of puzzle 4 goal
Metric 1 measures the total time it took you to complete every puzzle in the event. Time starts being measured after you submit any solution to the salt to salt puzzle on this page and is paused after puzzle 2 / before puzzle 3, meaning you have to speedsolve puzzles 1 & 2 and 3 & 4 together, but can take a break between each pair.
Metric 2 measures your cumulative metric score in all 4 puzzles. The worst possible score is a score of 400 (100%+100%+100%+100%), assuming you achieve a score equal to the goal in all 4 puzzles (or you don't complete some of the puzzles). You have the entire 2 week period to optimize this metric (provided you've "unlocked" all the puzzles)
HOW DO I BEGIN?
To begin the event, download and solve the puzzle (salt to salt) on this page. Your score doesn't matter, it's just there to track the time when you started playing the event. The moment you submit, you will be provided the link to the 1st puzzle, and the timer for the first half of the speedsolve metric will begin. You can take a break between puzzles 2 and 3. If you intend to compete for the first metric, make sure you have 1-2 hours free so you don't run out of time.
