2x6x19=228 loops per output. The only information storage is in the left chamber, via arm 2. it has to go through every possible state for three variables: rotation (6), position (19), and if it's holding the Earth atom (2). The corners of the chamber are accessed once per rotation/position loop, and it goes immediately from dropping off the atom to grabbing the next one - and since the preparation of the next atom isn't done yet, it does the whole cycle over again before it can succeed in that grab. This involves moving 2 track positions per tape loop, but that's not a problem since there's an odd number of track positions. Arm 3 does a grab+drop on the 2nd hex of Conduit II, to send it immediately back to pretend that we have two 1-hex Conduits instead. AFAIK this is the maximum possible information stored by a single object, any additional slowdowns will require multiple objects interacting. I suspect there will be a couple people at this local minima, so this V2 did some Period optimization. I look forward to seeing all the crazy designs people come up with that will go way, WAY beyond this!
