Clearly the output arrangement that results in the lowest area is when the two polymers are interleaved with each other, but this means that it is difficult to attach individual quantum-bonded pairs to the polymers without some awkward routing. Therefore I opted to work with rows of four atoms at a time, by slotting one pair of atoms between the other pair, then attaching to each row in turn. In this setup, the top and bottom rows alternate quantum bonds with the middle row to form the continuous polymer. Couldn't find a way to do it with the bonders right next to the projectors, so there is an extra row of 3 empty hexes in the middle for rearrangements.
