Relative to my previous design, this is just me having the realization that it's more useful for both arms to be able to handle the salt immediately after it is produced at the input than it is for both arms to be able to handle the gold; you need both arms to handle salt at all points in the work process, while you only need both arms to directly access gold when extending the waste-chain. Very poorly optimized, still a chunky improvement.
