For eight days I was first turning salt into vitae and only then transporting it far away. Through multiple improvements I got my distance up to 231. But then I realised that transporting salt sticks and then doing animismus at the destination would let me transport atoms even faster.

The question, then, is how long to make each stick. According to my calculations, building first a stick of four salts to go one way, then a stick of eight to go the other way, seems to get the largest total distance.

However, my calculations were not very precise, involving some approximations to simplify them, so I wouldn't be surprised if another approach is better.
