Things that are really convenient to have an arm for: splitting up the 13 outputs (why would you do this to me zorflak), taking the salt off the input, and trashing the mors. Conveniently, this can all be accomplished with exactly 3 arms with the only cycle sacrifice being making a vitae every 5 cycles instead of every 4. For a day 1 solve I'd call that pretty successful. 
Realistically I improve this immediately upon removing an arm (or two?)
