I haven't exhaustively checked if the stick lengths are optimal, but I think it's pretty good. Theoretically ratio of the number of atoms in the stick to the number of swings should be 3:4, since you can swing the sticks 2 times every 3 cycles, and you can add 2 atoms every 4 cycles. In practice it's messier so it still takes some trial and error
