Longer sticks let you move the vitae faster, but give you less time to do so. According to my calculations, a stick with 5 mors is optimal, at least with this setup and transportation method.

The huge mess in the middle is just in order to make the two important atoms (the first vitae, which we send to the right, and the fifth mors, which finishes the stick to send to the left) as far apart as possible. With only one animismus and much less clutter, I can get 225, so the huge mess gets 6 extra hexes.
