I tried making a version of this solve which extruded the iron as well, but it ended up being 1 instruction worse. Removing the passing arms required making the division handling more complicated, as it needed to be able to run without the rest of the machine in order to get everything to sync up.

Period 4 seemed hard to make better than this, but I did at least try as well.
