So there I was, working on a period 4 solution. I had resolved not to make a saverio's transformer, and I had worked out the implication that I had to divide exactly 1/5 of the metal. I was never going to submit to the call of period 10, that is not how you win an RI puzzle. So what's a girl to do? Get high and build a period 5 machine, that's what. No there are no optimized RI records on the leaderboard which have odd periods, it's Not the Done Thing. But with one single atom input, input speed is not any more instruction intensive than it would be at period 10, we directly solve the division ratio, and we get the same number of pipelines as period 4 with more lenient grab timings. I didn't make any solutions at period 4, but I calculated them to land somewhere in the mid to high 30s if I gutted them out, and be way more expensive. I figured I'd just optimize this down as low as I could and ship it. Win or lose, it's really fucking nifty.
