I worked out 3.33 was possible as soon as I looked at the puzzle, but actually implementing it was a major headache. I spent several days trying to get a single period-3 pipeline to work without collisions before realizing I could split the workload across two period-6 pipelines to give myself more wiggle room at the cost of absolutely demolishing my secondary and tertiary metrics.
