While I think I should get blown out of the water on cycles, I think this is actually the lowest cost possible this time (although I find my low area low cost solution much more satisfying).  I don't really see any other way that you could access all points in the Glyph of Triplex Bonding without having either an extending arm with 1 track, 2 non extending arms, or 1 non extending arm (of at least 2 length) with 3 tracks of which this is the cheapest.  Unless I missed something I believe everything else is required for the puzzle.
