However a problem quickly arose, the borrow parts I'd taken for the prior engine did not have enough excess for building this one, even with the parts I'd shaved off of it. I headed to imperial once more to scrounge the handful of other parts one would require. It was not simple this time, a faculty member spotted me diging through the mechanisms, and shouted out "thief!". My escape was certainly not dignified, tripping into a sewer open for works, although certainly immediately effective, it left my leg unable to move. Now I had to complte the engine and with only the materials I had, for I couldn't get home in this state and needed to eat. In my state finding any functional layout was difficult, I wished to use only a single arm, perhaps to use it for something that would aid me later, however I couldn't see how the geometry would work, instead always ending up with some material unable to reach the requiste location on the bonder, namely the water and vitae would need to phase through another to allow for the layer building system to work, yet other designs effectively replaced one or the other with a salt or earth. So instead I settled with a two arm setup, originally with more track, however it turned out to hamper rather than help. The angles of track seem very important due to it dirctly affecting how you can translate parts of the monomer. In the end this setup with 1 overlapping spce between the two arms seemed the best. I cannot imagine how 2 arms is possible without an overlap because to pass things between the two arms they'd need to be bonded, but if the atoms are bonded then there is nothing useful the 2nd arm could be doing anywy. I see that potentially one of the bonders could be half access or even no access, but certainly one must be full access, and clearly the glyph of calcification, glyph of animismus and inputs must be accessed. Leaving this 2 arm layout 5g more expensve due to the empty holding hex, yet without I could not slide the earth through and thus required it. The programming of this engine is sloppy, especially before the 4th section with many extra moves in moving the waste chain or holding atoms in bad positions to wait for the other arm to move by, which I attribute to my injuery. Past this it became bettr, now creating both vtae for the segment at the same time, and ensuring they were held above the waste chain, removing the need for moving it up and down another time for this segment of the monomer. That didn't leave me from forgetting to use the 2nd arm to drag the aforementioned waste chain through the system for another full monomer. One might say to just reprogram it to be faster, but I did not have spare tape to waste on this. Whilst I may hve been disapointed had I set about this withut my encounter, with I do not have such energy to waste. The engine works well enough and has left me enough to work myself out of this sewer pit soon. And soon it better be, this tissue tastes awful, I imagine being in close proximity wth the mors causes the tissue to begin to mold, but not having a choice, it's best to jst get it down and avoid tasing as much as possible. - I.E.S.
