My first "this is a solve" solve took 101 cycles. Then I went and solved width and came back to the cycle puzzle and redid the layout using period 8 to get a main pipeline that used two reagents to create 1 product and threw away the leftover parts with two waste chains in 58 cycles. My next step was adding a recovery process to reclaim the wase around the outside of the main pipeline and reassemble another product at the bottom before disposing of the waste leads. This dropped the cycle count to 46. This is not ideal as I am missing two opportunities to grab the input every period. So for sure the cycle count could be faster (I'm guessing min is maybe 20 ish cycles). But I am out of time for this week and further improvements seem tedious. My favorite arms are 13 and 14 as they have to swing two quick silvers through the travel path of arm 8.
