The only way I can think of to bring costs down is to swap some of the hex arms for single arms, but I can't do that without needing more instructions than what I've got, since they need 2 cycles for the reset. The waste arms exist because 2 arms dedicated to waste is fewer instructions than trying to get two products into each output from one snowflake. Just the sheer number of extra arms I would need would double my instruction count at least. And I ran into issues getting two hex arms to deposit into the same output at max throughput, since the arms don't move after dropping their product, one arm will grab what the other tries to drop.
