I intend for this to be my final submission to the trackless instruction optimization category. I actually realized there is a 12t or more optimization here, if you replace the piston with a rotating arm to the right of rotator 5 you could maybe finagle a timing that works, but the periods of both (5,6) and (3,(7)) was being a massive pain to try and figure out, maybe someone else figured it out but it was certainly giving me a headache, so I stopped slamming my head against a brick wall. I'll come back to this when I understand timing better, as this is my first ever submission to the competition. I almost figured out 6T timing on my own by realizing you could save an instruction just by deleting reset instructions, but I (sort of) more fully realized the implications of 6T after reading https://biggieblog.com/optimizing-instructions-in-opus-magnum/. shout-out to the amazing community for making guides like this to help out newer players, as well as people in the discord for helping me understand how trackless instructions work.
