Alchemist Learner's Kits...what nostalgia. I remember my first. I pinched my finger in a gripper piston and drank the Stabilized Water. Neither action is recommended, even as a curious child.

I'm quite a fan of blue vitriol--it is so simple to render into clean copper with a byproduct of only potable water, and it let my child self retry the process over and over with simple materials until I could finally make a "good" machine. Watching this single baby arm challenge the same process alone, struggle mightily with it and yet succeed, is a reminder of the steps we ascend at our beginnings.
