The idea of this solve was to reduce the number of pipelines needed by having 3 pipelines building 3+2+1 products instead of 4 pipelines building 2+2+1+1. The disadvantage of this is that the 3 product pipeline requires a lot of hexarms and track since it needs to operate at period 3. Still not sure which approach is better.
