My first weekly in a while (I joined the first few weeks, then got busy and didn't participate in the next couple ones), and also my first serious attempt at an instructions puzzle! I determined early on that I'd likely need a purification glyph to compress the waste, since it'd be difficult to juggle 6 waste atoms while handling the product without ballooning the instruction count. While I was working on it, I realized it was actually possible to use the purification/division glyphs to permanently keep the process at 1 waste atom by continuously purifying to/dividing from iron or copper, but I didn't think it would actually reduce instruction count. Also, I'm so cycles-pilled that there were many times while programming this that I was tempted to offload some work from the main arm to one of the other arms in order to make it run faster, but doing so would've added more instructions because of grab/releases and resets. Though there were some cycles-like optimizations that led to a smaller instruction count, like having arm 3 move the product for the last step, or handling the first bond of the product the way that I do here. Overall, I'm proud of this solve and think it's pretty good for a 1p solve. There might be some optimizations I can do (I don't entirely remember what each of the moves for the waste handling arms are for, so there might be some unnecessary actions done there), but if I were to try for a better solve I'd probably just go for a 1/2p solve. It seems doable (albeit extremely tricky), and seems like it'd be a painfu- I mean fun challenge with conditionally handling division products (as well as handling waste at <1p).
