When I first saw this puzzle, my immediate thought was, "animismus needs at least two arms. Therefore, a two-arm solve must be min TG." I plunked those arms down on the board, added the necessary bonder and debonder on both sides, and got to work. It was challenging, but I did ultimately figure out a way to do it. It required half access on everything, some non-intuitive intermediates, and a lot of tricky suppression to get the job done. I stepped back to observe my work with pride. And then immediately smacked myself upside the head, because the second bonder and de-bonder costs the same as a third arm! I could have been doing this the easy way the whole time. With three arms, access is no problem and the various parts of the machine can assist one another. That led to this solve lineage, with two single arms on anime and one "bridge" arm connecting them. My main focus in the layout was to have two arms each accessing the bonder and debonder, to share labor as much as possible. I'm not usually great on secondary races, but I feel good about my work on this one. Dropped cycles from 550 in my initial bid.
