I spent most of the week figuring out how to even approach the puzzle, so I'm satisfied with this cycles-like solution.  Or would it be cycles-lite since I kept some progress between attempts?

But anyways, there's some sorta wizardry to have a 6/8ths & 2/8ths pipeline and make it fast, I'm sure.  but hecc that noise.  this is the limit of my patience
