The Period of a solution is how many cycles it takes to loop back to the beginning of its instruction tape. A solution which loops every 10 cycles is better, in the Period metric, than a solution which loops every 11 cycles.

Thank you so much for your help. We can provide the rocketry and the scientific instrumentation if you can provide the fuel and the power. See the included diagram for a full schematic. We're planning to launch in a week or two—if everything goes well—at which point we should start receiving data immediately. I'm hopeful we'll find something interesting out there.
