FARAH: This is the correct sample?
ADERNO: Yes. Is something the matter?
FARAH: Almost. I attempted to distill the sample to extract any interesting molecules inside, but the remaining water itself is behaving... strangely.
ADERNO: How so?
FARAH: It would be easier if I just showed you.

FARAH takes out a vial of what appears to be pure water and swirls it around slightly. The "water" appears to be noticeably more viscous than normal.

ADERNO: You are sure there is no error in your methodology?
FARAH: I'm quite confident. There is only one other explanation I have in mind for this phenomenon, but it would be easier to believe that I really had made some kind of mistake.
ADERNO: Would you be able to test this hypothesis now?
FARAH: I believe so.

ADERNO: Does that mean it worked?
FARAH: Yes. We need to collect more of this before we go.
FARAH: This- this is an alchemical breakthrough.
FARAH: The prevailing wisdom for years is that this kind of water can only be produced in a lab.
FARAH: But here it is, spewed out by a geyser at the bottom of the ocean.
MIERE: We can always come back down later. If we don't leave soon, the Rock Bottom won't be able to get us back to surface.
FARAH: Right. Yes.
